I will be giving one CONCERT this summer which will sound at my magic BARN.... SATURDAY, JUNE 19th - 8:30pm in Santa Barbara, CA. Reservation ONLY: www.concert.viprespond.com. These are unique and amazing nights.. very intimate, raw, real, powerful, soulful and so much fun! I plan to play some prior barn show recordings of the late Pat Milliken to start the night. It's going to be beautiful and would be honored to have you in the mix! Again you may go here to save your spot!
These last few weeks my upcoming record, Born from the womb of Silence has taken some radical turns in its evolution. DANNY FRANKEL came to the barn to record drums... a severely creative musician and this last week the amazing, amazing TODD SICKAFOOSE on stand up bass! Very exciting times! String arrangements are dancing in my head and just loving the process. As a result I have decided to postpone any promise to tour this year so I can just be in the magic of the step I am in... which is creating this record and not planning a tour, you know? But I'm quite sure I'll be coming to Europe in the early part of 2011. That's a promise as much as a promise can be.

The beautiful, soulful, courageous, talented Pat Milliken died early April.
I will be giving a concert in dedication to his amazing spirit that has left nothing but sweetness in its wake SATURDAY, JUNE 19 - 8:00pm at THE BARN (Santa Barbara, CA). Let us be alive as long as we live!! We're so lucky to have this chance. Pat was someone who really lived his truth and was able to see and feel the beauty in everything. Happy... now... newish year! All is well with me. Recording is going great. Plan to have my record finished sometime this year is the goal... without being too weird about deadlines. We'll see. Just trying to do as I am told (muse wise). But I will say that basically... I'm on fire! And this record feels like a debut... dare I say the best music I have yet to offer. Will be interesting to see how it feels to you. I'm very excited. I will say that!

One last concert of the year at my beloved THE BARN (in Santa Barbara, California) SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5 at 8:00pm . As usual these are epic, warm, beautiful, soulful nights and yes... it's reservation only. Please click HERE to hold your spot. (SOLD OUT!) I suspect hot spiced cider and wood burning stove will be ablaze this near winter night.
Other than that, I'm busy recording my next record which I have been threatening to finish for some time now. All I can say is that I feel tremendous energy and momentum, unbearable excitement and.... getting ready to bring in the other layers as in some amazing musicians to the studio (the Barn). So far the process for this album, dare I reveal it's name... Born from the Womb of Silence... has taken about 3 years. I've been careful not to give this project a deadline to be finished, though I had a nightmare the other night that I did. (Ahhh glad I woke up from that one.) Once I get close though, a European tour will be planned and what I feel is my best body of music will be exposed.... a wondervulnerablesque kind of experience as always.

Other than that, just returned from exploring some amazing wilderness on vacation; my daughter is having her first week of Montessori school and my other one is about to begin preschool. My recording drive is in the shop for a mysterious problem and fall is coming.. possibly my favorite time of year.
A new online room is in the making that will be devoted to The Barn experience for I get tired of trying to explain how awesome it is... the setting, the energy, the people, the way the music can really sound acoustically and emotionally. But of course nothing can compare to the actual experience. So... do please check back for more OR join mailing for a more intimate connection (I send out emails very, very rarely so it's nothing obnoxious). Carry on and shine on!

Hello good people! I was recently asked permission for my version "Que Sera Sera" Fox's 'So you think you can dance'. And my response was... "so you think you can... uh.. what?". Being that I don't watch T.V. (rent movies only), I was in the dark on this one. Anyway, turns out, it's a pretty humungous, enormity, big mac phenomenon on T.v. Cool! Anyone see it? Will try to post a link to it though it be extremely brief.
I am in the throws of recording my new album (or albums).. one has a very specific theme to it... deeply meaningful so I'm taking my time with it... what little there is as I'm highly into my bunny heads (phoebe and ada... ages 1 and 5). The other record it seems is a instrumental piano one... So, I'll only be doing just a few concerts this year because of it, all at the Barn in Santa Barbara, CA from what I can tell. The barn shows are pretty amazing experiences. If you haven't been.... well, I should be creating some kind of page that will be the portal into the Barn experience with photos and sounds etc... but nothing compares to being there! Next show.. thinking September. Any votes for early August? Let me know.

NEWS FLASH, Part 2!
Jennifer's rendition of Que Sera Sera, from her Live from Painted Cave CD, has been featured on Dell's new commercial for their XPS computer. Someone posted it to YouTube - You can do a search for it. Look for the longer version.
The quailty isn't great, and we're hoping Dell and Mother/NY will give us the green light to post the high-res version here. Will keep you posted on that...

Out of the blue, New York ad agency Mother NY emailed us 'cause they wanted to use Jennifer's recoding of Que Sera Sera on a Dell commercial for their new XPS. The commercial is pretty outrageous with exploding monitors and wrecking balls. We'll post it here as soon as it's released! Tell us what you think of it!

Jennifer just returned from a near SOLD OUT European tour in support of her latest release 'FULL MOON IN 3'. She appeared live on national television in the Netherlands on a program called Vrije Geluiden Thursday, October 19, 2006 (www.vpro.nl) and also on Italian Radio Città Aperta 88.9 www.radiocittaperta.it If you want to be hearing her, seeing, feeling, reading about her elsewhere, request it and spread the word!

Friends! After a year of intense effort, I am finally bringing to Europe FULL MOON IN 3 with a short but jam packed tour which will begin October 4th at Cafe Danse in Paris! I have decided to keep this record as a totally independent release (without distribution, except for France.. i.e. total insanity)... so the CDs will be available at the shows & at this site for a special price with kisses and hugs from me!
Tickets are on sale now, so please be merry and support this loving effort! Laura Mihalka (on cello) will be also traveling from the states to accompany me... not to mention my beautiful family with Phoebe Moon Ray who is now 2 years old! I am so grateful to get to have this experience with you all.
